We were in the position of introducing Accelerated Reader into the school. Our budget was limited but it was essential to resource the initiative significantly. Raintree’s Match Funding Scheme not only provided the resource that allowed us to double the number of books we were going to order, but they were also able to direct us specifically to the books that best met the introduction of Accelerated Reader. Our children love them and (despite Covid) their thirst for reading has exploded.
This is an excellent scheme , which allowed me to purchase a really good range of book banded books to increase and replace the existing selection in our school library. This came at a most needed moment as due to current restrictions the main sources of increasing our funding was not open to us. I subsequently placed another order to add even more to our range as I was so pleased with the quality of the books.
After working closely with Raintree as part of their Match Funding Scheme, I was highly impressed with both the level of service and the reading texts that we received. Each class now has a reading area filled with spectacular fiction and non-fiction texts, which match both phonetic ability and interests across the Key Stage. Raintree’s Engage Literacy books have been invaluable in our setting. Some of our SEND learners really benefit from the repetitive nature of the early texts. The non-fiction books at the pink and red levels are age appropriate for some of our older readers still at an emerging literacy stage. Ordering is simple and the Raintree’s Match Funding Scheme has been fantastic in order to replenish our reading stocks.
